Dal Masala is a great addition to various bean or lentil recipes. These recipes are commonly utilized with pressure cookers or crock pots, and take time to prepare. Slow and steady is the name of the game for most dal recipes, as the beans should be soaked overnight, and cooked slowly.
Recipe: Curried Coconut Lentils
- 1½ cups red lentils (rinsed), 1 lb. spinach (rinsed & chopped), 1 onion (minced) & 1 fresh tomato (finely chopped)
- 3½ cups water & ½ cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- Cilantro for garnishing (chopped)
- 4 tsp. Spice Hut Dal Masala & Salt to taste
